The route for the Olympic Torch was announced today with 8,000 torchbearers set to pass the Olympic Flame over a 70 day period across the UK. Plymouth has been chosen as one of the relay locations! On the Saturday 19th May 2012 the Torch will be carried from Lands End through to Plymouth where an evening celebration will take place. Full details will be released on the Plymouth page of the Olympic Website as London sets to host the 2012 Olympics.
