Plymouth Barbican Christmas 2011Decided what to do this weekend? Why not bring the kids down to the Barbican to see Santa on a tall ship!

For a minimum donation of £1 (all funds raised will go to the RNLI LIfeboats) you can step aboard the Josefine tall ship to meet Santa and receive your very special gift; which has been kindly donated by the National Marine Aquarium.

You could even come and see Santa arrive at the Mayflower Steps at 10.20am on Saturday when he is brought to the Barbican on an RNLI lifeboat.

Santa Grotto Opening from 10.30 – 13.30 each day

****The Johanna Lucretia unfortunately can not attend due to bad weather and being based in Gloucester, but luckily the Josefine ship and her crew were able to step in at the last minute****

Alongside this waterside themed Grotto we have festive street entertainment taking place throughout the Barbican between 10.00 and 16.00 across the weekend. Not only will this create the festive winter atmosphere but also the perfect environment to pick up that very special, individual gift for Christmas along the Barbican in one of our many boutiques or independent shops.

Street entertainment will be filling the Barbican with family fun, ranging from choirs, bands to even HUG A HUSKY! What better way to end your grotto experience to go and meet some of his favourite huskies and learn more about them.
