Dee Sumner sends word from 27 New Street. A perfect place to visit for unique gift ideas and one to visit in the run up to Christmas
.
Hi Plymouth Barbican Waterfront Team, I opened my unit on the third floor of the Parade Antiques buildings last Saturday. I hand craft knitted teddies as well as anything & everything that can be knitted :~) I also produce other items made from a variety of products. My inspiration for my ‘Madebynannny’ little business venture came frommy four beautiful grand-tots and three children. The unit was made ready for me by my son Dan and his ‘sidekick’ Tris whom now has to make ready another unit next to mine for his wife, who produces gorgeous jewelery with her mum, under the name of ‘LittleGem’.
I keep my prices low so even the youngest of customer can enjoy ‘shopping’ at my little workshop. Please would you let folks know that the building is bursting at the seams with an Aladin’s Cave of interesting ideas for gifts and oneself. :~)
On the third floor we have a children’s shop that caters foreverything one would need for their kiddies. Next we have Jan’s outlet that has the most amazing ornaments of Fairies, Dragons and more; one very talented woman. Then we have our Ali who produces a great range of fun custumes for children and assessories. We have a clothes boutique too. Not forgetting to mention Jack’s amazing retro clothing store; covering some interesting decades :~D
Soon there will be two ladies opening a wonderful range of natural facialand body creams. Our Lynn turns out wonderful sewn items from her beautiful unit. Lo and her mum will be opening ‘Little Gem’ next Tuesday. Then at the end of the isle you will come across a ‘Nanny’ working hard to produce some fun toys etc, for all ages.
I am presently working on my new range ‘The Beary Best Of’ which will be teddies adorned as film, music and more iconic characters! :~D
Thank you for taking the time to read through my note of our Aladdins’Cave of wonderful units at 27 New Street, Barbican, Plymouth, PL1 2NB
Warmest Regards, Dee.
