Note: A new expanded Barbican jobs section is in the works including a dedicated search option. I’m also considering an area where job seekers can add their details to allow local Barbican businesses to search through when they need staff. Watch this space! ![]()

Dear Sirs
We reside at 56C Southside Street, Barbican, Plymouth. PL1 2LA. We understand there is a Barbican/Waterfront Residents Association, could you please send us details of the next meeting, as we have not been invited to join and have lived here for 8 years.
Many Thanks
Gary Walker
Hi Gary and Jenny,
I believe there is a neighbourhood watch scheme but not sure of details of a residents association. I’ve emailed a few people and will pass you details if there is one shortly
Hi, we have recently become part of the Barbican community (Southside Street) but only on a part time basis at the moment as we are still working elsewhere until we can find work to move permanently. I’d love to know if there is a resident’s association or whether anyone would consider starting one up. Gary and Jenny Walker – would you be interested in starting a group?
Hi Selina,
I’m not sure if there is one. There is the ABB (association of Barbican businesses) if you are running a Barbican based business.
I’ll try and find out for you about any residents association. I’d also recommend asking around the local shops
