This weekend unleash the Pirate within you as Plymouth Pirate Day begins this weekend! This Friday the HMS Bounty lowers her gangplank for landlovers to board the famous ship, which was built for the 1962 movie “Mutiny on the Bounty” and has appeared in Disney’s Pirates and the Caribbean films. The HMS Bounty will be open 10am-4pm Fri, Sat, Sun. £7 Adults, £3 children. Children under 5 can board for free.
Pubs, Restaurants and many of the shops across the Barbican will be joining in the Pirate fun by dressing up in Pirate customes and offering Pirate themed events. A number of pubs will have pirate themed ales and specialised rum menus. The Admiral MacBride will also be offering pirate themed rum based pitchers perfect for any Pirate.
A number of special offers will be available during the action packed Pirate Day weekend from The National Marine Aqaurium will be offering free entry to any children dressed up as a Pirate on the weekend of the 21st / 22nd May and a huge list of events (see list to the right).
The Barbican is set to come to swamped with Pirate activities and is sure not to be missed! Join in the fun, grab a cutlass, slap on an eye patch and prepare to have fun :).
