One event never to be missed! After a break in 2018, the Raft Race is set to return once more. Details coming soon…

The annual ABB Barbican Raft race is on once again! Organised by the Association of Barbican Businesses, but open to all. Teams of dedicated Barbican traders and local organisations grab duct tape, barrels and makeshift oars to built the mother of all rafts to do battle on the Barbican waterfront!
Fancy dress is a must as is plenty of fun and games. This is one event to put on your calendar. Not to be missed!

Barbican Raft Race 2014/15/16 details…
Open to teams of 4 – 6 rafters, build your own raft and compete the course to win the coveted Barbican Cup taking place on Sunday 28th September at 6pm on the Commercial Wharf, The Barbican.
Rules:
– All competitors must be over 18 years of age
– Rafts must be constructed in line with the race terms and conditions (available with entry pack)
– Teams of 4-6 people

Proceeds from the raft race will help support the vital work of the RNLI

UPDATE from the organisers: Following the success of last year’s event, the second Barbican raft race will be taking place on Sunday 22nd September at 5pm, following the same course as last year Between Commercial Wharf and the Mayflower Steps. If you would like to enter a team please complete the application form attached and return to me at the address/email below. If you prefer to stay on dry land but would like to get involved we will need a small team of stewards to help on the day.
