With the Easter bank holiday behind us we are looking forward to another 4 day bumper bank holiday weekend! The Royal Wedding begins at 8.15am and is expected to be watched by over 2 billion people world wide. Southside Street on the Barbican will be closed for a traditional Royal Wedding Street party from 2pm with picnic tables and chairs placed for members of the public to lay out food and celebrate the of Prince William & Catherine Middleton.
At 12.30pm the Admiral MacBride will play host to the Plymouth A-Z Pub Tour. This event is held yearly and open to everyone to take part, as teams attempting to drink through 26 of Plymouth’s top pubs & clubs. The Tour aim this year will be raising money Arran Tomes.
Aarran has been diagnosed with non Hodgkin Lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Due to the nature of the Lymphoma, Arran is unable to walk and complains of discomfort in the lumbar region of his back. His treatment is due to last for 7-8 months and for this he has to on a regular basis to Manchester Children’s Hospital a round trip 5 hours away. As you can imagine the strain on his parents is huge emotionally physically and financially.
All money raised will go direct to Aarran’s family.
