Plymouth’s largest group of artists and makers will be holding a summer exhibition at Relegacy Gallery, New Street, in Plymouth’s historic Barbican area. Building on the success of our well-known ART2GO Christmas exhibitions, the show will feature work by a fantastic range of local artists and makers, including ceramicists, painters, metalworkers, jewellers and mosaicists. Relegacy is a new gallery and the Flameworks exhibition, timed to coincide with the Classic Boat Rally and Barbican International Jazz and Blues Festival, will include indoor work, as well as pieces for the garden in a beautiful courtyard space.

Karen Pawley
Karen Pawley is a resident artist at Flameworks. She is well known for her inspiringly beautiful paintings of local landscapes, particularly the Cornish coast.
Katie Lake
A runner-up in this year’s Craft & Design Selected Awards, Katie Lake, a.k.a. Mistress Metal, is a resident artist at Flameworks specialising in bespoke and original designs in metal and glass. Katie’s quirky and original pieces are perfect for home and garden.
Leo J. Saunders
Leo is an associate member of Flameworks based in Launceston. He is best known for his striking, mixed-media abstracts which are developed through meditation and contemplation. His use of metal leaf lends his work an absorbingly quixotic quality.
Peter Lanyon
Peter Lanyon is a brand-new associate member of Flameworks and this is his first exhibition with the group. His distinctive, hand-made wooden furniture gives a contemporary twist to traditional greenwood working techniques.
